'klack' schmatzte der verschluss zurück in den sauerstofftank. schnell zog er den transferstulpen vom luftbolzen. dieses mal war die menge ausreichend und er hatte immerhin noch einen weiten weg vor sich. mehr würde ihm hier nicht gewährt werden und zischend entwich die restluft neben seinem schutzanzug. diesen fehler hatte er nur einmal begangen. helm abschrauben und das gas aus dem nichts wegatmen - das hätte ihm damals beinahe die lunge zerrissen. dann sich doch lieber bis zur nächsten station schleppen. dort stand dieser bildschirm der ihn mit seiner blauen welt draussen immer noch verband. power on und der schirm erwachte. durch seine sonnenblende sah er in ein (weiteres) unbekanntes gesicht. jetzt nur richtig zählen. während im pixelgesicht tränen tiefe rinnen ins make-up bohrten kratzte er deren anzahl in den rostbraunen sand. schnell weiter zur nächsten luftstation. hoffentlich richtig gezählt ! welche zahl eingeben? zuviel würde ihm die station sicher übelnehmen. hatte er doch schon einmal minutenlang fast erstickt auf den lufttransfer warten müssen. eventuell würde ihm die station sogar zuwenig zuteilen. nur die korrekte angabe würde die maschine zur abgabe der ausreichenden luftmenge veranlassen. so lebte der tränensammler auf seinem planeten.
